Collection ALEKSEJA

Have you ever seen a Russian tale The fool of the world and the flying ship? If you have, then you know that the Russian princess in it is Alekseja. And this flying ship was my inspiration for the fashion show Wings.

Ste kdaj gledali rusko pravljico Bedaček Peter in Leteča ladja?

Inspiracija

I created a collection of women's clothes, with a hidden transformations. Because of the zippers you can wear a dress in different ways. To me zippers are a wonderful thing - both functional and aesthetic, so I would not be surprised if I soon made a collection full of zippers...

Collection WARRIOR

Collection Warrior was “in the making” for a very long time. I started drawing sketches when I lived in France and also completed them - quite a few times. In fact, when I finished drawing, I put all the sketches up on the wall and just watched them for two weeks - and then I made one change, and then another ... and so on, until the collection was completely different - and I repeated this process for several times :)

But somehow I still finished drawing all the designes and ideas become a reality. The first photoshooting happened before all the outfits were even made. Here you can see my favorite photos.

In the collection are also two black wool coats, which were first photographed in snowy Switzerland.

But the photoshoot of full collection happened at the Railway Museum in Ljubljana where old black locomotives nicely complemented the elegance of clothing.

WHY WARRIOR?

When I think about new ideas, I think of a woman who will be wearing my clothes, and I always imagine some kind of a warrior - sometimes I see her in an armor with a sword in her hand, another time she gracefully rides on a horse, I can see her as a modern woman, who is fighting for higher position at work or as a romantic girl who fights for her love. NIKATO warrior is not a warrior only in her appearance. She is a woman with clear goals, with fearless heart and a natural elegance.

In fact, I only recently started to think where "my" warrior came from. I admit that I like to get lost in the fantasy world, ruled by elves, dragons and magic... in a world where anything is possible. I was mainly influenced by books and later also by movies – and today they can show the incredibly wonderful world I've sometimes only read about and imagined in my mind. These stories were always full of men warriors, so a woman warrior among them looked all the more powerful and attractive.

So whether it is Ellen Ripley, Jeanne d'Arc, Leeloo, Arwen or any other, I was impressed (and still am) by all of them.

Blogs really are a funny thingFor many years I wrote a diary - hidden diary just for methe old-fashioned way - only paper, pencil and my thoughts. But now everybody share their thoughts on the internetsometimes even the most intimateQuite bizarredon’t you think?

So recentlywhen I talked with a friend who writes a blog called Blue ValentineI started thinking about joining the growing crowd of bloggers, when I realized that actually I already have a blog, but I totally forgot about it. So I quickly went into action and decideto do some renovationSince the establishment of my forgotten blog many things have changedI lived in France for a whilewhere I broke my tongue trying to speak French, I admired how Paris comes to life during Fashion Week and enjoyed many trips with my boyfriendAfter returning to Slovenia I graduated from Fashion and textile design at NTF in Ljubljana and started with postgradute studies, which led to 1st prize for best collection of the year at NTF fashion show “Wings”And now I am working on my next project - bridal gowns - because even warriors can fall in love.

Just for fun I made this jersey shirt and a skirt made entirely out of colorful shoelaces.

Svet mode je kot bojišče. Oblikovalci, modeli, fotografi, stilisti... in seveda blogerji, vsi iščemo svoje mesto pod sojem žarometov, se borimo in si želimo, da bomo na koncu bitke zmagoslavno še vedno stali med živimi.

Blogi so res hecna stvar.
